Why a first-year Durga Puja in Hinjewadi Phase 2 could be one of the most meaningful festive investments your brand makes this year
Oitijhyo Sarbojonin Cultural Association
Every festive season, brands compete for the same spaces.
Large Durga Pujas attract huge crowds, so the attraction is understandable. The festival has become one of India’s biggest advertising periods. Brands spend heavily on pandal branding, outdoor advertising, digital campaigns, stalls and cultural programmes.
Durga Puja is much more than a religious celebration. UNESCO recognised it as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity in 2021. A British Council study valued the creative economy connected with Durga Puja in West Bengal at ₹32,377 crore.
The festival brings together culture, food, entertainment, shopping and community life. For brands, it is also an important time to meet customers.
But there is one problem.
At a very large puja, your banner may be one among fifty. Thousands of people may walk past it, but only a few may stop and notice it. The best spaces usually go to companies with the largest budgets.
Smaller brands often pay a high price and still struggle to be seen.
A neighbourhood puja offers a different opportunity.
People notice brands that become part of the celebration
Local marketing works because people see the same brand more than once.
A family may notice your entrance banner on Shashthi, visit your stall on Saptami, see your team again during Ashtami bhog and remember your name when they need your product or service later.
This is very different from seeing a hoarding for a few seconds while driving.
At a community Durga Puja, people stay for hours. They come with their families. They return on several evenings. They eat, talk, watch cultural programmes and meet their neighbours.
They are relaxed. They have time. They are willing to stop and speak.
For a brand, that creates a real conversation rather than just another impression.
A valuable audience in Hinjewadi Phase 2
Oitijhyo Sarbojonin’s first Sharodiya Durgotsav will take place from 16 to 21 October 2026 at an open-air ground in Hinjewadi.
The location is in the heart of Pune’s IT corridor. The wider Hinjewadi area is home to hundreds of technology companies and several lakh working professionals.
It is also home to thousands of young families living in the surrounding townships.
We expect more than 10,000 visitors during the festival. Our communication will also reach over 40 residential society groups across Hinjewadi.
This audience includes working professionals, parents, homeowners, tenants, children and senior citizens. They live nearby, spend locally and often make purchasing decisions for the entire family.
For restaurants, schools, clinics, real estate companies, financial services, retailers, automobile brands, home-service providers and local businesses, this is a highly relevant audience.
The advantage of supporting the first year
A first-year puja cannot show photographs from last year.
But it can offer something more personal.
It can offer your brand a place in the beginning.
People remember the companies that support a community when it is just starting. Years later, when the puja becomes larger, the first sponsors are still spoken about with respect.
Your brand will not be joining an event after it has already become successful. It will be helping the community build it.
That matters.
A founding sponsor is not simply paying for a banner. The sponsor becomes part of the story of the puja.
There will also be less advertising clutter. In several business categories, your company may be the only brand present. That gives you stronger visibility and a better chance of being remembered.
More than a logo
We want sponsors to be visible in a useful and natural way.
Partnership opportunities may include entrance-gate branding, banners inside the venue, branded attire for the dhakis, product displays, announcements during cultural programmes and dedicated stalls for sales, demonstrations or sampling.
An 8-by-8-foot stall gives your team the chance to meet visitors directly. You can explain your service, distribute samples, collect enquiries, offer festival discounts or simply introduce the brand to families living nearby.
Sponsors will also be featured through our website and social media channels. This visibility will continue beyond the five days of the festival.
The aim is not to place your logo in a crowded corner.
The aim is to give your brand a real presence.
Our honest promise
We will not promise the crowd of a famous Kolkata puja.
We will not claim that lakhs of visitors will pass through the ground.
What we can promise is a growing, high-income neighbourhood, more than 10,000 expected visitors, five evenings of repeated visibility and a team that will treat your brand as a partner rather than just another sponsor.
We can promise families who live nearby, volunteers who care deeply about the event and a community that will remember who supported its first Durga Puja.
At a large pandal, your brand may become banner number fifty-one.
At Oitijhyo, it can become part of the celebration.
